Examen de ingles / English test

Bueno, por fin he hecho el examen de entrada en “Curtin University”.

Al principio estaba muy nervioso, pero en cuanto llegué a la sala del examen, estuve hablando con el chico que estaba controlando el examen y él me tranquilizó mucho. Más que nada, porque al hablar con él me dijo que podía conseguir una nota alta en la parte escrita del examen. Lo cierto es que el examen fue mucho más fácil de lo que creía, termine el examen entero 10 minutos antes del tiempo predeterminado, de hecho, fui el primero en acabar el examen.

Salí del examen entusiasmado y, yendo de camino a la escuela de inglés, me llamó una chica de la oficina internacional de la “University of Technology” de Sydney, con la que había empezado a hablar desde que llegué a Australia. Me había conseguido una entrevista, pero la tenía que hacer esta semana, así que le dije de hacerla por Skype, y ellos aceptaron. Así que a las 4 de la tarde, me conecté a Skype y me entreviste con uno de los responsables de admisiones.

Esta entrevista me permitió explotar las dos facetas que mejor se me dan, que son escuchas y hablar inglés, por lo cual, puedo matricularme en la universidad de Sydney. Pero siempre hay alguna pega y no todo sale como queremos. Lo que quiero decir es que, ahora que ya puedo matricularme, tengo que pedir una beca por lo caras que son las universidades aquí.

Por ahora todo me está saliendo de maravilla aquí, porque también tengo una prueba para trabajar como “cleaner” en un McDonald’s. Solo falta que me concedan alguna de las becas que voy a pedir, pero eso lo sabré, más o menos, a principios de marzo.

Finally, I have done the exam necessary to enroll in ‘Curtin University’.

Firstly, I was quite nervous, but when I arrived to the room, I was talking with the person who checks the exam and he said me I could pass the exam easily. Certainly, it was much easier than I thought, I finished my exam 10 minutes before the predefined time, in fact, I was the first one to finish the test.

I went out from the university excited and, on the way to the English college, I received a call from a girl, whom I began to talk when I had arrived in Australia, who work in the international office of the “University of Technology” in Sidney. She had got me an interview with the responsible of admission in that university, but it had to be this week. Then, I asked about doing it by Skype, and he accepted. Then, at four o’clock in the afternoon, I connected my Skype and I did my interview.

That interview allows me to explode my two best parts of the English language, listening and speaking, and now I can apply for a course in that university. But the thing is not always like we want, and I need to apply for a scholarship too, because Australian universities are so expensive for an international student.

For now, everything is going wanderfully, and I also have a test for work as cleaner in a restaurant next saturday. For a perfect time here, I only need to get one of the scholarships.
