Hoy me toca contar otra visita corta a una ciudad. Esta ciudad fue destruida hasta los cimientos en la segunda guerra mundial. Dresden no es una ciudad muy grande, pero su centro histórico es muy bonito e interesante. Es la única ciudad de Alemania que ha dejado los restos de los edificios y construido encima.
El viaje en tren a Dresden fue como todos los demás, viajamos en el rellano, pero esta vez nos sentimos afortunados porque el tren estaba tan lleno de mochileros que casi no quedaba sitio. Cuando llegamos a la ciudad fuimos los único mochileros que bajamos del tren. Nada más bajar del tren hicimos nuestra comida, unos sándwiches de embutido, y caminamos hacia el centro y mientras paseábamos me vino un flash para intentar recordarme que ya había estado allí, pero lo ignoré. No fue hasta que vimos la puerta de la ciudad cuando me di cuenta de que ya había estado allí. Aun así, disfrute de la ciudad igual. La gran parte de los edificios están negros del fuego de las bombas incendiarias. Lo más bonito de Dresden está a la orilla del rio, que es también donde está el mercado de fin de semana en el que se comen unas currywurst increíbles.
Lo más interesante de la ciudad es la iglesia principal, los jardines de un palacio y el mural de los príncipes que retratan, en gran tamaño, a todos los príncipes alemanes.
Eso es lo más importante que hay en Dresden, aunque no lo vímos todo. Es un sitio recomendable para ir, a solo dos horas de Berlín, eso sí, hay que intentar ir en fin de semana para ver el mercado. También es interesante pasear por el parque a la orilla del río viendo la ciudad al otro lado, pero a nosotros no nos dío tiempo.

Today I will tell another short visit to a city. This city was totally destroyed in the Second World War. Dresden is not a big city, but its historical core is nice and interesting. This is the only German city which has been rebuilt on the rest of the constructions and without cleaning the destruction.
The journey, by train, to Dresden was as everyone else, we travelled on the hall of the train, but that time we felt lucky because the train was full of backpackers and we were on it. When we arrive to the city, we were the only backpackers to get off the train. As soon as we got out of the station, we had lunch, ham and cheese sandwiches, and walked to the center. While we were walking, I had a memory flash trying to remind me that I had been there before, but I ignored it. Until we arrived to the very gate of the city I didn't realized that I had been to Dresden before. Anyway, I enjoyed that city. A big part of the buildings there are black because of the fire produced by firebombs. The most beautiful things in Dresden are in the bank of the river, where there is a market on weekends in which you could taste an incredible currywurst. The most interesting things are: the main cathedral, the gardens of the palace and the Procession of the Dukes, which shows, in a great size, to every ruler of the Saxons.
These are the most important things to visit in Dresden, although we did not see everything. It is a recommendable place to go, just two hours away from Berlin. You should try to go on weekend to visit the market. It is also interesting to have a walk in the park in one of the banks of the river, watching the city in the other bank, however we did not have time to have it.
