Viaje a Margaret (2ª Parte) / Trip to Margaret (Part II)

Where did I finish previously? Oh I know! I said "Enough... You could go with the surfers, but I will go to Margaret River". Ivan, surprised of my behavior, finally joined me in the objection and the girls, after talking with each other, gave us the car keys to do whatever we wanted to.

When I took the car, we found out a couple of things. The first one was that distances where comparatively short than before and the second one was how beautiful was the environment in that area, which we could not appreciate going from a beach to another. As we took the car, we drove to the village mentioned before. It was a village like the ones which appears in the movies. Everything was made of wood, rounded of trees from the forest and, even, there was an open-air market to buy second-hand stuff.

In the tourist info point, we were told what to see and what to do and we started our real trip. First of all, we visited some vineyards and wineries, where we could not go in because it was Sunday and we should have booked the lunch there. Anyway, the vineyards are incredibly huge in that zone.

After that, we went to visit some caves formed near Margaret. As we had agreed with the girl they were going to call us when they were ready, we decided to enter in the biggest cave because each visit lasts one hour and we want to avoid the call in the middle of a visit. We made it, they called us just when we were starting our visit to the cave, so we could not talk to them. The cave was really deep and big, with spectacular formations of rocks and one of them which is called "the table".

One hour since the call, we called the girls back to know about them. They told us they already were in Margaret and, although we were 30 kilometers away, we arrived to Margaret ten minutes later and, disappointingly, they were not there. We had to wait again, but something was different in us, we did not allow them to play with us. Finally they arrived and called us, we were buying some things in the open-air market.

The four of us met up and decided to go for lunch. It was the moment for another disagreement, they wanted to go for sandwiches and we wanted some home-made food. So we split up again and Ivan and I went to a restaurant where we found home-made food and, of course, wine, which we wanted to taste because was famous in that region.

After the lunch, we found the girls, who wanted to go to the beach to see some fishes which come to the shoreline and allow you to touch them. We went to the beach, touched the fishes, enjoyed there and we tried to swim to a little island close to the shore, but there were lots of big creatures in the sea and we were a bit afraid, even though we knew they are not dangerous. Talking about the beach, the water is completely crystalline, so we could see all those creatures coming to us.

Returning home, Ivan and I decided to stop in a little hill, ignoring the girls’ complaints, from where we had a sightseen of a beautiful valley just downhill. Thanks to the insistence of the German girls, we kept travelling to home and we got lost because they did not let Ivan be my GPS. It was a trip full of contrast, however we really enjoyed, that is what really matter.

El viaje de los tres errores / The trip of the three mistakes

As you know, I have been more than one year without writing in my blog and that has only one cause. I could say that I have been busy working or studying, that I have had no time because I had some social duties or that I have been travelling during this time. However, the only point is I had no inspiration.

Luckily, my inspiration has returned in the last trip I did. It was in a really interesting city where my artistic thoughts came back. This is a city which changes, during the day it seems a quiet city where its inhabitants work and live pacifically, however, at night it becomes to a paradise from where nobody wants to escape.

Once the city, which brought my inspiration back, has been described, I should say that I am going to tell the stories of Australia and other trips, and after that I will tell the Interail one.

The first tale I want to write is my trip to Margaret River. It was a journey planned by Ivan with two German girls for the weekend of the 19th of March of 2011. The plan was to visit the southern area of Western Australia sleeping in a camping. They just knew that a Spanish guy was going to that trip, so they asked me to bring some salsa music with me for teaching them how to dance. It seemed a good trip at the beggining.

So, full of excitement, we went to Freemantle where both girls were waiting us with a hired car. They drove and, more or less half an hour from our departure, we were completely lost and we had to ask the way to our destination. Once in the highway, we had a problem with the front lights of the cars, which were convinient to be on. First of all, we thought our car was damaged but, after examining it, Ivan and I,we understood that the only thing happening was that the girl who was driving did not know how to switch on the lights.

Finally, after 5 hours travelling (Margaret River is 300 km away from Perth), we arrived at the camping where we had to spend all the weekend. It was dark, so we lasted three times more than usual mounting the tent, because we did not have instructions either, and we also forget the rain pretection. When we finished, all we were thinking was to sleep, so we went into the tent and, around half an hour later, the girls decided that it was too unconfortable and the preferred to sleep in the car, a stupidity in a camping, but we said nothing because we had the double of space to sleep.

On saturday, we woke up because it started to rain, so we mounted fastly the impermeable sheet to go back inside and sleep. However, it was 5 a.m. and the girls wanted to see the sunrise and we all woke up and tried to see the dawn, an impossible thing by the way. When we were ready, I was told we were going to the beach. I almost fell dead when I realised that I just woke up at 5 a.m. to go to the beach and, when we arrive, I felt like wanting to kill them. However, I did not know how they really are and I calmed down.

After a while at the first beach we went, the girls told us to move 1.5 km to another beach. Fortunately, when we wer going to get in the car, we found a path to go to the other beach and we took it. The girls were complaining all the time, but we were there to visit the environment and not only for going to the beach. At half of our way, we found another path which took to some rocks in the coast, so we went there and we found some crabs and we tried to capture them.

At the second beach, when we were swimming, the girls told us they wanted to search some surfers and, as the car was theirs, we spent half of the afternoon looking for them with no success. That afternoon, going back to the camping, were we had to be at 5 p.m. as the girls said, we discovered that there was a wine festival in Margaret River, so Ivan and I tried to convince them to go there. They did not want to go because they thought that a wine festival is only for drinking wine and they do not drink. Even thought we tried to explain them that a wine festival is not only for drinking wine, but for enjoy. We should have catched the car and gone to the city, that was our first mistake, but we stayed at the camping.

At least we had the Salsa lessons to enjoy, or that was what I though. Finally was imposible teaching them how to dance, the few things I know, because the did not allow me to touch even their hands. That very same night, after dinner, we were talking with some surfers, specially Ivan and I, to who I asked if we could go with them to watch them, it was my second mistake.

On Sunday morning we woke up at 6.30 a.m. because the surfers told us to go at 7.30 a.m., that was our last mistake. At that time we were ready to go, however the surfers last one and a half hour in being ready and they told us to go with their car. It was when I said: “Enough...”.

I see that the story is too long, so I am going to finish it in the next entry of my blog. And, if any woman feel ofended, you should know that I do not think that women are bad drivers, only these two with who we were travelling.

Vivencias / Experiences

To start with this post, I want to apologyse for all this time without writing, but it is difficult when you do not have anything to talk about. I have already something to tell, althugh it is a bit sad. For second time, I have tried to get a scholarship to get into university becuase they are too expensive and I cannot afford them, as well as search a sponsor to pay for them, something that I have always done. Finally, the scholarship I have applied for has been denied again and I cannot get into university, so I have to choose another future.

In other sort of things, I want to write down my opinion about something similar to be an inmigrant in other country, where you do not speak its language, and about the difficulties to be integrated in the new society. It is true that I have not gotten a total integration in this country, something complicated if you do not have the same level of living than natives, but, despite this, my effort to be integrated here has its results and I have learned many things from it.

At the beginnig, I should say that I made mor friend in foreigners students than in Asutralians, because when the latter notice that you cannot understand all that they say, they give up trying to be understood and stop talking to you. In spite of that, when I was living in the home I live now, I started to go to a near pub with my homemate and, now, the usual costumers there know me. Indeed, the gratest clue of my integration is that I have had an Aussie girlfriend for two months and I am living, since I arrived here, with an Australian too. Initially, it is too difficult to socialise, because of the hurdle know as language and because of the cost of living, but if you insist, you learn faster and you begin to socialise.

A proof of what I am saying is that in my third month here, I had a party in my home with barbeque, music, drinking and dance floor. A good party which lasted until half past three in the morning, which is too late in Australian standards, where there were people from many different countries and also some Australians. Everybody said that it was one of the best parties they had ever been and if we would repeat it again.

Finally, I want to say that being away from y country, friends and family I have realised about many things. This experience has taught me to see the life in a different way and to have more self-esteem, even though my planns have not finish well enough. Morover, the best of this experience have been the suprises that some people give me, positives as well as negatives, which allow me to apreciate them more than before.

P.S. I have uploade some photos of the pary to show you how it was.

Excursiones / Excursions

¡Felicidades!

Today, I am going to talk about some excursions I have done to visit some places in Perth. The point is upload some pictures which I have not upload in the previous posts, although they are not mine because my camera is retired, and tell about things everyone can do here. Even though I do plenty of thing with my friends, we do not take the camera with us in every time.

My first excursion, after coming back and moving in to my home, was to a beach where there was an exposition called "Sculptures in the beach". Looking at this name, everyone may imagine the exposition would be about sand sculptures, but at our arrival there we found some modern metal sculptures which surprise us. There were some nice sculptures and some which nobody understood, but the best part of that excursion was the company. I went there with Ivan, my home mate, and Wendy, a Peruvian friend of mine, who I joked and laughed too much. It was an interesting afternoon.

The second one was to the aquarium, in which there were a bigger group of people and we also enjoyed it joking with feeding sharks with some of us and comparing ourselves with the animals in the aquarium. Well, the point is that we saw a lot of interesting animals, like a octopus, as big as my hand, which the most dangerous animal in Australian seas. It was a enjoying afternoon with the group of friends, but everybody went home after the visit.

La chica / The girl

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the title of this post says, I am going to talk about a girl who I have dated for two months.

One day, I met with two Spanish friends to play pool, it was Sunday afternoon and it was cloudy, so that was the best thing to be done. There were few people on the train to return home, but there was a blonde girl sit close to me. I was listening to music and having a look to some notes, new words and idioms in English I had to learn, when she began to look at me bemused. I noticed she was looking at me and, after five minutes, I asked her if she wanted to know something. She answered me she had never seen anyone studying English like me, so we started to talk.

Initially, I was thinking more of my clothes, which were in the clothes line, and in what I had to learn than of her, however we went on talking (she asked too much and I answered) until we arrived to the station I get off. While the train was stopping at that station, I noticed she would get off in the same station and I started to become interested in her. We got off the train, I introduced myself and asked her name. Helen was it. I dared to ask about her and I found out she lived close to my home, so we went together to a park near our homes. When we said goodbye, I asked her phone number, which she told me, and I said to her I would call her the next week.

I could not wait for long, on Monday I was bored at home, because my home mate had gone back, and I phoned her. Fortunately, on Monday she finish work early, so that Monday we went to a pub in my suburb to have a beer and talk. After the beer, as we were enjoying together, we went to have dinner and... Well, as I said before, we have been together for two months.

Nowadays, the relationship is not going as well as I want, that is the reason I do not want to say that she is my girlfriend, but I am trying to fix it.

P.S. I know that you want photos, but my camera has been retired for two months. After now I am going to use it and I will upload some pictures.

Mucho tiempo sin escribir / Long time without write

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, I want to apologize for these 3 months I have not written anything, but it is true that since I return to my daily routine, I have done nothing interesting. I have not written these months because I have been a little bit busy between look for job, studies and girlfriend, I have not taken care of you.

Today, I am going to write about one of the friends I made here, his name is Diego, and he went on Monday. Diego is a good friend with whom I have spent four months studying English and going out.

In his last weekend here he was a little bit sad because of his leaving, so he decided to begin to say goodbye to 'Perth' on Wednesday. Why on Wednesday? Because the school where we are studying give us $50 to spend in a pub here called 'Mustang'.
'Mustang' is a really interesting pub because if you get there before 8.00 pm, and paying $5, they invite you to a barbeque in which you can have dinner and you are invited also to a beer and you get a stamp which allow you to buy jars of beer at half the normal price, something really good in Australia. There is live music too, however it closes at 12.00 or 1.00 am.
Ok, we went there and we met up with another 4 friends and we listened to a good music group, the majority of the songs were classic rock songs. At 12.00 am we went home because the next day we had to go to the school.

On Thursday, we also decided to go out, this time we went to a night club where there were Brazilian music, there we saw a performance with two Brazilian dancers dancing and everybody trying to follow what they were doing. They were not dancing complicated dances, it was popular Brazilian music such as 'Asereje' and 'Macarena' in Spain. For those friends who would like to travel, trust me, we should go to Brazil.

Already on Friday, we went to a restaurant where a friend is working, because we had made an arrangement with two Swiss girls who were going to leave the country soon. We met up with 20 people there and, when we finished, we went to the city center. We planned to go to a gay club where the girls had not been before, but we could not entry, so we went to 'Mustang'. This time the group was worse than the other one, but we were there until 2.00 am.

Saturday came and everybody was exhausted. When I talked to Diego he told me that anyone wanted to go out, so I offered him to go out with my Aussie friend and her friends, but he preferred to be at home and rest. So, as I had said to my friend to meet up with her friends, I went out with them to continue with the farewell.
Being with them, I found out a place where Australians usually go out, a night club called 'Llama bar', where on weeknights there are live music and during the weekends electronic music is played to dance, but Australians do not know how to dance.

For Sunday, we had planned a barbeque with all of our friends to say goodbye. There were some funny moments, but also some less funny moments because our friend was leaving soon. After the barbeque, we decided to have some beers in the city center and, as we were there, watch the final of 'Roland Garros'. We went home straight after the match, not without had made an arrangement with Diego to see him the next day.

On Monday, we went to the home where Diego was to say goodbye to him, he was sad and everybody cried when we left. I left his home at 7.00 pm, although he was leaving the home at 9.00 pm. I went at that time because I had arranged with a friend to go to the airport, but I did not have any news from him. After half an hour, he called me and confirmed me we were going to say goodbye to Diego at the airport. In 10 minutes, he picked me up, we bought some beers and we went to the airport. Diego was really surprised to find us in the airport with beers, but, at least, he did not have to be his last 2 hours in 'Perth' alone. At 11.30 pm, he had to pass the passport control and we said good bye again and I almost cried, but he enjoyed his last hours here.

Regreso a Perth / Return to Perth

Being in ‘Adelaide’, my friend ‘Kalpana’ called me. I was hoped with the idea of get a sponsor, but, finally, she told me that it was impossible to get one, but she would still look for it. For now, I’ve got six months to get a sponsor. After that, I sent to her some flowers, to thank her help, and I came back to ‘Perth’.

The first week of my second staying here was maddening. On Wednesday night I arrived at the backpacker where I had booked my room and they told me they had problems with the web page I used to book it and, therefore, I didn’t have room. With this news, I was wandering around ‘Perth’, since 11 o’clock at night, to get a free bed in other backpacker. Finally, I got an awful backpacker at half past twelve.

Next day, I went to the college of English where I had studied to visit my friends and beg a home to sleep, finally, I could stay in the home of a Peruvian friend for one night, because on the next day I would call to my friend ‘Helen’ to ask to her about stay in her home until I found a home. Then, after this day, I started to look for a home.

Luckily, my friend ‘Ivan’, a Ukrainian guy, told me he had got a free room where he is living. In that week I looked at 5 different homes, all of them to pay more than 150$ per week, and all of them small or old. On Sunday, I went to see the home where ‘Ivan’ is living and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It is 10 minutes away from the city center by train, but it has got a really big kitchen, garden, barbeque, swimming pool, two living rooms, an enormous bathroom and a double bed in each room. So, on Monday I moved here.

Adelaida / Adelaide

My first day in ‘Adelaide’ began interesting. We woke up early, around 10 o’clock, and ‘Femke’, ‘Robin’ and me went to ‘Haigh’s Chocolates visitor center’. I had read in my book that you can see the factory where the chocolate are made and, at the finish of the tour, they would make a tasting. The factory was awesome, even with ‘Oompa-loompa’, was a shame that they didn’t allow the cameras to take a picture of them. Now, seriously, we saw all the process to make chocolate and the different mixtures to make chocolate, but nothing to point out. After the factory, they led us to a dining room and they brought around 50 different kinds of chocolate, for the all group, not only for us.

After the factory, the girls told me they wanted to go shopping, then, it suited me to visit the city. The city is not so big and the historical buildings are few, only the old building of the university and one church, I visited it in less than one day. I didn’t like the city, but the parks in the outside of it, because the park is rounded of parks, literally. After two days, I can say the best thing in the city was the company of the first morning.

At night, I had met with ‘Femke’ to dinner, only us, finally, because it was her last night there, we were to dinner to an Italian restaurant and we were 3 hours talking. I told her that my plans are stay here for a long time, but I like her so much and, if she wants to come to ‘Perth’ before go back to Holland, I’ll receive her like a princess. Finally, I made her a lift to her backpacker, because she had to travel at 6.30, and I called to my friends to go out. Any of them wanted to come out with me, and the only one who would want had his phone off, then I went back to my backpacker to sleep.

I spent my last day in the city walking around the parks. In one of them, I saw a stadium, it was opened, so I went into it to find out what they were playing. It was cricket, I was watching it for one hour, and I can ensure that I saw chess match more interesting than cricket. Probably, I bored because I misunderstood the rules, but I don’t think that was the reason why, only, 20 people were there. And my last day of trip finished leaving the match and going to the airport.

Primera noche en Adelaida / First night in Adelaide

El de esta foto era nuestro guía / This guy was our guide

The first night in ‘Adelaide’ had a lot of anecdotes. I start with our dinner because it was the only normal situation happening that night. We went to dinner to a Thai restaurant, it was pretty delicious, noodles, rice, chicken and beef with curry, but here is a real Thai food, not like the Thai restaurants in Spain. When we finished the dinner, strange things began to happen.

Firstly, the men went out from the restaurant while the girls were in the bathroom and, while we were waiting them, an Australian girl come to us and said hello to us. Everything is usual here, but now, I was amazed. Without a word more, she asked to ‘Lorenzo’ if he wanted to go to her place to see a movie, he said to her that we could not because we had a meeting with our friends, but she gave him her phone number.

Once in the way to the pub where we had our meeting, a homeless (Aboriginal) come to us and asked us about two dollars and we answered that we had not got, but he began to follow us insulting and shouting us. We began to walk, but he was determined to follow us, he was following and insulting us for 10 minutes, until the Italian and I turned over, angry, and kindly we required him to leave us alone and he stopped.

Finally, in the pub with the group, and our guide, ‘Jan’, who was visiting some friends in the city, called me to ask where we were and to come with us. He called me again and I went to pick him up, then, he told me his friends went to sleep and he still wanted to enjoy. We returned in 10 minutes and, when we went into the pub, I saw a guy, 2 meters tall and 2 meters width, playing pool with the Holland girls and the Italian guy. So, I left ‘Jan’ with the group and I went to the pool place, where that guy was flirting with ‘Femke’. I arrived at there and I told everyone that our grandpa had arrived and I stayed next to ‘Femke’. When I finished talking, the guy comes to me to present himself and I, with a big smile, shaking his hand and so politely, said to him, in a perfect Spanish from my village:
‘Go away fat guy or I’ll hit you a wafer’, when he asked to me, I said to him that my name is Hector and if I would try to play one shoot. After that, the Italian and I were who teach to the girls to play pool, although I don’t know to play it. For once I get a goddess, I did not allow to a fat man to flirt with her.

Llegada a Adelaida / Arriving to Adelaide

In the morning of Monday 21th, we woke up, again, the firsts and, after a little brawl by the guide, ‘Lorenzo’ helped me to put back the tables in the dining room and everyone could have breakfast.

That day we went to other mountain, but this was steeper than the mountain of the previous day. So, again, ‘Crocodile Dundee’, the guide and I helped girls to climb it. In that little climbing, when the Holland girls showed me jump from a rock to other one, they asked to me: ‘What’s up with you? Have you born from the rocks?’ I asked why and they told me it seemed that I was doing it all my live because I had done it easier that the rest. Finally, I climb to the top of the mountain and, this time, everybody followed me, so, I was not alone on the top.

After go down from the mountain, we rode the bus to be travelling for 4 hours, only stopping to make a picnic, but it seemed that the guide did not know us. We found a rugby ball and the men were playing for 40 minutes. Once in the bus and road to ‘Adelaide’, firstly, I asked to ‘Femke’ if she wants to dinner with me, she accepted, but her friend ‘Robin’ joined herself to the dinner. What was the solution? Easy, the Italian guy was listening and I asked to him and he accepted too. When we were arriving to our destination, everyone on the group came to us to ask us about the plans for this night, then, we met, after dinner, in a pub of the city center.

La primera "escalada" / The first 'climbing'

Already after lunch, we drove by a road full of golf fields and we stopped in a dessert beach. It was awesome, it was not so big, but it was interesting because there were rocks, washed from the cliffs, on the sand. As always, I was the first in climb to the only rock available to climb to take me a picture.

After the beach, we started bushwalking to a mountain top where there was a great view of the valley. We arrived to a waterfall and everybody started to take picture, I tried to drink from the water which was falling, but the guide said no to me. So, the Italian guy and I waited till the group was far to drink. After thirty minutes going up, the road started to be more complicated. I mean, there were some stones and we had to climb a little bit. In that moment, the guide began to climb and, only ‘Crocodile Dundee’ and I could to follow him easily, so, we began to help the group. It suited me because I could impress to ‘Femke’ a little bit more. Once on the top of the mountain, I searched the way to climb to the highest rock, but now, I helped her to climb up with me to see the marvelous views.

Once we had gone down from the mountain, the guide said that there was a bottle shop to buy some alcohol because, that night, we were alone in the backpacker, so, you can imagine what I proposed. The hostel was awesome, four wooden houses only for us. Well, ‘Lorenzo’ and I had buy some beers together and some wine with the Holland girls, together too, and we went there. That night, I wanted to go to look for ‘Wombats’ near the backpacker, but I was alone with that idea and we were playing cards. When we finished, I saw a German boy trying to flirt with ‘Femke’, then I joined to the conversation and, 30 minutes later and helped by ‘Lorenzo’, we had took out the tables of the dining room, turning it in a dance floor. So, I invited her to dance and the German boy could not flirt with her. Finally, that night I got to pick her.

Sunday 20th in the morning, at 7.30 we were ready for a new day of trip. The day began with a bushwalking to the top of a volcano, it was 30 minutes walking. From the top of the volcano we saw a marvelous view of the volcano crater with a lake on it. ‘Lorenzo’ and I were the last to arrive at the top because we were searching new roads to get lost and don’t follow to the rest of the group.

On midday, bus stopped in a clearing of the forest done specially for make picnic on it. There were some kangaroos eating near the forest line and one of them was separated from the others sleeping. Then, ‘Femke’ asked to the guide if she would touch a kangaro, the guide said to her they were scared about us. It’s not true at all. When you are at five step from them they are scared, but not before.

Then, I took the opportunity to go and to say: ‘If you wish, I can bring you to touch one’. I only request her to be silent and follow me. I started with my performance. First of all, we went into the forest and I explain her we cannot go directly to the kangaroo because I did not want that the kangaroo saw or smelt us and that we need to feel the wind in our face. Then, we were going near the kangaroo sleeping. When we arrive to enough distance, I told her that when she touched the kangaroo she had to lie down. When she asked me why, I said to her that I did not know if the kangaroos are aggressive and I did not want to discover it.

When she touched the kangaroo, it stood up and run away, but she felt good because she could touch it. Of course, we did not have lunch, but I got that ‘Femke’ showed some interest for me.

Doce Apostoles / Twelve Apostles

OK, after know the group let’s follow with the Saturday happenings. In the afternoon, we went to a place called ‘Twelve Apostles’, it’s a beach next to some cliffs where the water has eroded the cliffs and it has left some pieces of rocks. Although they are called ‘Twelve Apostles’, there are eight. We were in the beach watching at the rocks.

After that, we went directly to the backpacker to leave our luggage in our room. Then, the guide proposed to us to go to ‘Twelve Apostles’ to see the sunset because it was beautiful. We saw nothing of the sunset because it was gloomy, but there, the Italian and I started to talk with all group and to take pictures with the people. We start to joke about the sunset and all the people were rounding us. Of course, we began to talk more with the Holland girls than other people, ‘Lorenzo’ has got girlfriend, but you know how Italians are, however, he did not want to flirt.

When the sunset was completed, everybody returned to the bus to go back to our backpacker, then the Italian guy said to me to take a beer and I accepted because I wanted to know everyone there. I asked to our guide and I noticed it in the bus. A lot of people join us, the first one was a Holland man of our group and everybody join us slowly, after him. We went to the pub and we saw a pool. ‘Lorenzo’ and I asked about play pool and they said to me that we had to sign in a blackboard. We signed, but we had a trouble. When we started to play, a drunken Australian said to us that it was not our turn. We showed him that it was our turn, but he only pretended to fight. We almost fought with him and his friends. Finally, the guide came to our place and helped us to solve the problem with Australians, so we played pool and after, we took another beer and talked to the rest of the group, and then I met my group better.

El grupo / The Group

Ok, once in this point, it would be better that you know the people of my group and the people who I had a better relationship.
The first photo shows to all the people I met in this trip, we were 21 people. There are not 21 people in the picture because there were some English who prefer to be separated in this moment. Do you see the guy on the right part? He seems ‘Crocodile Dundee’, doesn’t he?
The second one shows to the youngest person in our trip. Really, only three of us could do the same things ‘Jan’ did. When there was a party, he was there, and when we had to do bushwalking, he was there too. I’ve got a good relationship with he, he became my Norwegian adoptive grandfather.
In my opinion, you can imagine who the man in my left is in the third picture. He helped me to do some things possible. I’ll tell you in next posts. ‘Lorenzo’ is quite sociable, an amateur footballer and always ready to make a party. The girl in my right is ‘Robin’, a Holland girl who was here travelling and, although she was shy, finally, she always allow to us to convince her to come with us.
In the last Picture, she is the other Holland girl, friend of ‘Robin’. Her name is ‘Femke’. She is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen and, as her friend, sometimes she was shy too, but soon she saw that we are funny people and began to come with us.
This was the group that we formed, a great group to enjoy the trip, we were always the last people to go to bed and the first people to wake up and enjoy the excursions.

Great Ocean Road

On Saturday 19th of February my second trip around the south-east coast of Australia began. First of all, I thought that it would be a boring trip because in this travel we were 21 people, not 11 like the other trip, and few people were travelling alone. But, just in front of me, an Italian was sit and we started to talk. After the visit to a beach full of surfers, where we were talking together and meting each other, we took the initiative of the group, except some French. That day, passed in the bus practically travelling by the ‘Great Ocean Road’ and stopping only in some beaches, but we saw beautiful views.
In the middle of the journey, suddenly the bus stopped. Again, the Italian and I were the firsts to get off the bus to see what was happening, we saw a tree fallen in the middle of the road. Then, we went back to the bus to tell everybody that we would be stopped for a while and I proposed to go in the forest for a little road I had seen before. The majority of the people preferred to be in the bus, but a little group came with me and we went into de forest. After ten minutes walking, my Italian friend noticed something in his hand and he discovered a little leech in there, he was scared and everybody returned to the bus.
Once the journey was restarted, we arrived to a little space of rain forest. It was a natural park where you could see a lot of different kinds of tropical plants and there are corridors to go to the top of the trees to see all the rainforest. Do you know why is it called ‘Rain forest’? Because it is always raining. The entire group wanted to do it fast, then I was late with ‘Crocodile Dundee’ and we were 20 minutes delayed.
